Jerry Lynn Warwick Sr., 70, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully at home in the care of his wife, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
Born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on October 31, 1952, to the late Edgar and Ruby Warwick, the family settled in Clyde, Ohio where Jerry fell in love with the art of music. He was a self-taught musician and skilled Tile Setter & Carpenter. He enjoyed writing music, and playing the drums and guitar. He loved watching The Three Stooges, Popeye, and old Westerns. He cherished time with his grandchildren the most, teaching them how to fish, play cards, learn how to play musical instruments, and make up songs with them.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Susan of 51 years, son, Jerry Warwick Jr. of Beavercreek, daughter, Connie Warwick-Anglin and son-in-law, Christopher Anglin of Manchester, CT. In addition to his wife and children, Jerry's greatest joy were his five grandchildren. He loved them as fiercely as they loved their "papaw" and "grandpa" and each child's personality is a reflection of his greatest attributes: Hailey Warwick (Hailey Bug); his sense of humor, creativity and persistence, Lindsey Warwick (Lindz); his compassion and discipline, Colby Warwick (Buddy); his humility and resilience, Evelyn Anglin (Evie); his creativity and loyalty, and Ryan Anglin (Ryebread); his compassion and thoughtfulness. He is also survived by his siblings, Delores (Daniel) Collins, James (Geraldine) Warwick, Tom (Terri) Warwick, Rick (Cathy) Warwick, Norma Warwick, Donna (Dave) Carter, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jerry is preceded by his late brothers, Billie Warwick, Carl Warwick, and Bobby Warwick, and sister, Peggy (Larry) Black.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the Beavercreek Fire Department, Police, and EMT's for the respect they showed Jerry and his family while in their care.
Graveside service will be held at the Ellsworth Cemetery on Saturday, June 24, 2023. Arrival at 10:30 a.m. with a celebration of life for family and friends following the service at the VFW.
