Jerry R. Warner

May 12, 1941 — April 19, 2022

Jerry R. Warner, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 in Dayton, Ohio. His passing is preceded by his parents, sister, brother, and his beloved wife, Frances Warner.

He was born in Van, West Virginia, on May 12, 1941; the son of the late Emile "Myrl" and Estelean Warner. He attended Van High School, graduating with the Class of 1960.

He married the love of his life, Frances D. Warner, on December 5, 1964. The couple would be blessed to raise three sons. He worked as a field engineer and retired from Eastman Kodak.

Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He enlisted in 1961, where he served as an Artillery Communications Specialist. He also served as an Auxiliary Police Officer for Wayne Township and the newly formed city of Huber Heights.

Jerry was a warm, loving, and giving man. He had a way of making others feel welcomed. He had a love for fishing and boating, and enjoyed spending time at their cabin on Indian Lake. He was happiest when he was out on the boat cruising around and teaching his grandchildren how to fish. Jerry also played an important part in the establishment of the Huber Heights Youth Football Club.

Above everything, family was most important to Jerry. He was a loving husband and wonderful father. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, whom he adored. He was a constant fixture in their lives, often attending their various events.

To cherish his memory, Jerry leaves three sons: Edward (Stephanie) Warner, Rodney (Melissa) Warner, and Brian (Jill) Warner; brother Kenneth Warner; and grandchildren: CJ, Justin, Brandon, Casey, Hannah, Clayton, Joshua, and Jack.
