Jerry Wayne Smith

Jerry W Smith was called to the arms of God's loving care on July 28th, 2023. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lynn Smith, and their three children Dawn George (Alex George), Timothy Smith, and Jeffrey Smith; his 7 grandchildren: Candace, Alex Logan, Corey, Paige, Shianne, Hylan, and Autumn; and 7 great-grandchildren: Cienna, Logan Jace, Nova Rose, Phoenix, Lincoln, Elianna Dawn, and Lane. He is the son of Earlie and Celia Smith; brother of Alta, James, Creta, Janelle, Corina, Audry, Blanch, Patty, Janie, Roger, and Greg.

Jerry is loved beyond measure and will be missed more than words can say. He was a fierce protector of his family, and loyal to those he called friends. Jerry loved the Lord, gospel music, and leaned on the word of God. He did not miss the opportunity to teach those around him common-sense life lessons, nor did he hesitate to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. He believed that actions spoke louder than words, hard work makes a living, always protect the most vulnerable, and truth is best. Many people throughout his life looked up to him and will continue to do so, just from a different window....

Public graveside service to be held at Valley View Memory Gardens (170 N Valley Rd, Xenia, OH 45385) on Thursday August 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
