SCALF, Jerry S.
Age 67, formally of Oceana, WV; went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2014.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Scalf (Scott); and father, Earl J. Scalf. He is survived by his son, Thomas (Amanda) Scalf; mother, Magdalene Scalf; grandson, Jason Scalf; sisters, Ruth (Joe) Besenyei and Susie (Raymond) Walker; aunts and uncle, Eula Sarter, Helen Smith, Hannah (Bryant) Whisenant, Kay (Frank) Horton, and John Scalf; special sister-in-law, Brenda (Danny) Atwell; brother-in-law, Johnny Scott; dear friends, Cecil (Suzanne) Dunaway and Danny (Gail) Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry retired from Delco Moraine in 1999 where he served 15 years as a safety rep for local 696. He also served on the board of DayMet Credit Union. Jerry proudly served on the Jefferson Township Police Dept. and the Mad River Township Fire Dept.
In his spare time he volunteered his time for Muscular Dystrophy. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Interment to follow at Royal Oak Cemetery.
