Jerry H. Rawlins, Sr.

Jerry H. Rawlins, Sr., age 75 of Riverside, passed away on November 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 26, 1945 in Brandt, OH to the late James and Eulah (Collinsworth) Rawlins. Jerry met the love of his life on a blind date on Sweetest Day in 1978 set up by his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Betty Jo. He and Bonnie were married on February 14, 1980 on Valentine's Day and remained the best of friends through thick and thin.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his son, Dan; grandson, Dustin; granddaughters, Bobbie and Lori; and 6 siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Bonnie and their baby, Shadow; children, Becky (Karl) Schoen, Cheryl (Rick) Estepp and J.R. (Melissa) Rawlins; grandchildren, Janis, Rick, April, Tina, Amy, Johnny, Kasey, Dakota, Katie and Shawn; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 siblings and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Family will receive guests from 2-5 PM on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, 45424).
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
