Jerry W. Parker

Jerry W. Parker, age 81 of Dayton, Ohio passed away and went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2024. He was born January 2, 1943 in LaFallette, TN, son of the late Edgar and Lucille Parker. 

Jerry was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, flea marketing, garage sales, and spending time with his family and friends. Jerry loved the outdoors, being outside in nature, and gardening. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. 

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Florene Lawson; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Parker; brother-in-law, Bill Sullivan.

He is survived by his wife of 61years, Retta Parker; children, Sheila (Greg) Smith, Danny Parker, Tammy (John) Isaacs, and Timmy (Stephanie) Parker; grandchildren, Josh (Carol), Brittany (Ted), Jessica (Chris), Bryan, McKenzie (Cody), Lauryn, and Nathan; great grandchildren, Zoey, Landon, Harper, Brayden, McKenna, and Corbin; sisters, Betty Lou Sullivan and Geraldine Hall; several nieces and nephews; beloved k9- Daisy; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 1pm to 2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 2pm.
