Jerry Nuthman

NUTHMAN, Jerry M., 54, of Riverside passed away Friday, September 3, 2010 at home surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his step father Phillip Lee Smith. Jerry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Roxanne Nuthman; children Jerry L. (Stacey) Nuthman, Amanda O'Neal, and Jessica (John) Grassan; grandchildren Morgan, Leanna, and Shelby Nuthman, Patrick O'Neal, Ashley, John, and Brandon Grassan; father Jack Nuthman; mother Bobbie Smith; brothers Richard (Marie) Nuthman and Phillip (Debbie) Smith; sisters Robin (Kenny) Green, Kim (Tom) Raines, and Angela (Dave) McKinney; father and mother-in-law Richard and Dorothy Sturgell; Brothers-in-law Victor, Shawn, and Scott Sturgell; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Jerry loved nothing more than to spend time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was in construction in both Ohio and California as a journeyman pile driver and journeyman carpenter, later was the owner and operator of Better Homes Construction. He also owned and operated two Video Stores. Jerry enjoyed life to the fullest including time outdoors, camping, fishing, and partying with his friends.

The family would like to thank Victor and Shawn Sturgell for their loving care during his illness. Also special thanks to Dr. David Apple and Hospice of Dayton.

Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00PM Monday, September 6, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Rd. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Willow View Cemetery.
