Jerry James Longo, age 65 of Dayton, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021. He was born May 26, 1956 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Michael and Helen Longo.

Jerry was a faithful member and an elder of Kettering Church. He was also a member of the Sons of Italy for 26 years. He worked as an Accounting Manager at County Corp in Dayton after retiring from Gayston Corporation after 30 years, where he was Vice President of Finance.

Jerry and his wife, Melissa, divided their time between Ohio and Myrtle Beach where he enjoyed golf and other outdoor activities. Family was very important to him and he loved spending time with them. Jerry was a loving husband, son and father who will be dearly missed.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Melissa; children, Kory (Lee) Walton, Danielle (Donovan) Ferko & Katy (Mike) Ulmer; his parents, Mike and Helen Longo; grandchildren, Aurora; siblings, Michael (Venus) Longo, Robert (Sharon) Longo & Angela (Eric) Albaugh; sister-in-law Deb Koerner and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Thursday July 8, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kettering Church (1450 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering, Ohio 45429). A funeral service will be held on Friday July 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at church. He will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery after the service.
