Johnson, Jerry, age 62, of Miamisburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. Jerry was a retired supervisor at Delphi for over 38 years, and currently managed the Leather Gallery in Springboro. He was a United States Army Veteran proudly serving during the Vietnam War and a member of Rolling Thunder Veteran Group.
Jerry is survived by his wife: Dottie Joanne Johnson; daughter and son-in-law: Christine (Kerry) Gephart of TN; son and fiance: Scott (Jackie) Johnson of Centerville; mother: Hazel Schaney; grandchildren: Ashley, Travis, Brittany, Clayton, Dylan; step children: Jason and Jennifer Jackson and her children Dylan, Katie, & Christina; sisters: Jessie Geary, Josie Peyton, Barbara Schaeffer, Lindian Phillip; brothers: Edward, Dexter, Dwane, Dennis, Larry, Don Johnson; best friend: Joe Myers; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Walker Johnson and brothers: Frank and Loyal Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 28, 2007 at Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with his brother Dwane Johnson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery chapel on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Arrangements in care of Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel).
