Jerry Robert Hensley, age 79 of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He was born May 23, 1942 in Corbin, Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his children, Barbara Latta and Jeremy Hensley; grandson, Kane Pultz; father, Alma Eugene Hensley; mother, Opal Elizabeth (Robert) Hensley; and sister, Faye Walden.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty; daughter, Brenda Hensley; grandchildren, Connie, Thomas, Brooke, and Madison; 4 great grandchildren, Courtney, Reagan, Preston, and Elena; siblings, Linda Hollars, Stanley (Doris) Hensley, and Danny Hensley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry is a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Shell Oil Company in 1998. He truly enjoyed his job and loved the company he worked for. Jerry attended Landmark Baptist Church in Huber Heights, OH. He enjoyed spending time working around the house and going out to eat with Betty. He was so loved and will be truly missed.
Private services will be held in Kentucky.
