Jerry Lee Gaston

Jerry Lee Gaston, age 59 of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024. Jerry was born December 1, 1964, in Mobile, Alabama, the son of the late Rufus Howard and Betty Sue Gaston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Danny Gaston.

Jerry was a dedicated, 30-year employee of the Nucor Corporation, including its subsidiary American Buildings Company. In addition to his long and accomplished career, Jerry served church communities throughout Alabama, Georgia and Ohio as a faithful member and occasional pastor, with music forever in his soul. Jerry served his final time as pastor of New Beginnings Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio.

A native of Alabama, Jerry loved to fish in her lakes, eat seafood on her beaches and cheer her namesake college’s Crimson Tide. His love for cars was heard with every ignition of his beloved Camaro, Lulu, and rivaled only by his love for his wife, children, pets and grand-pets.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pamela; children, Amanda Gaston and Daniel Gaston; siblings, Howard Gaston, Leland Gaston and Susan Jones and many other loving family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton in Jerry's honor.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 3, 2024, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432).
