Lycans, Jerry E., age 76, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away Friday, October 16, 2015. He was born and raised in Dehue, WV.
Jerry was retired from the US Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Star Medal and many other decorations and awards during his military career. Jerry was the consummate Jack of All Trades and enjoyed working on all things mechanical.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Ersie Lycans; sister, Karen Rhea and brother-in-law, Charles Morris.
Jerry is survived by his sisters, Carol Morris of Hillsboro, OH, and Eileen Sutton (Roger) of Carlisle, OH; his brothers, Larry Lycans of Hillsboro, OH, Jay Lycans (Jitsy) of Kettering, OH, and Roger Lycans (Cheri) of Kettering, OH; brother-in-law, Charles Rhea of Andersonville, TN; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Beavercreek, OH 45432. A graveside services at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH.
