Age 70, of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully Friday, June 23, at Hospice of Dayton.
Jerry was born March 6, 1936 in Dayton to Samuel & Mary (Mangold) Krauss, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded by one brother, Gordon.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia J. (Montgomery) Krauss; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kymberli & James Stanuszek of Dayton and Andrea & Robert Self of Huber Heights; four grandchildren, Amber & Kaytlyn Stanuszek and Austin & Jacob Self; one brother-in-law, Carl R. Ellison & wife, Cynthia of Arizona and their sons, Eric & Matthew Ellison; by one cousin, Nancy Priser of Miamisburg and her son, Byron Priser of Vandalia. Jerry was loved by many and had numerous special friends.
Jerry retired from the U. S. Navy with 22 years of service and later volunteered at Wright-Patterson AFB Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 28, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Rev. Gregory Ryerson will officiate. The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family would prefer that contributions be made in memory of Jerry to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45420.
