Jerry D. Bowsman, age 75 of Dayton, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018. He was born March 2, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James and Sally Bowsman.
Jerry retired from Metallurgical Heat Treating in Moraine after over 30 years. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to music and could always be seen tapping his foot. Jerry loved his boys and was always there for them. He will be dearly missed by his family.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Bowsman, sister, Jackie McCurry, brothers-in-law, Michael Oakes and Ronnie Oakes and nephew, Johnny McCurry.
Jerry will be missed by his children, Bryan (Jeannie) Kennedy, Gerriet Bowsman, Jereamy Bowsman and Connie Holden; grandchildren, Ryan Kennedy, Bryawny Kennedy, Taylor Bowsman, Ashley Tillman, Jordan Johnson, Angelina Beebe, Christian Beebe and Katelynn Beebe; 1 great grandson and a great grandbaby on the way; brothers, Bill Bowsman and Bobby Bowsman; sister, Joyce McCurry; sisters-in-law, Carol "Miss Kay" Mahaffey and Selina Oakes; nephews, Jimmy Wilson, Chris McCurry, Jack McCurry, Tommy McCurry, Shawn Oakes, Ronnie Oakes and Matt Oakes; niece, Desiree McCurry and many friends.
Family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. Burial to follow services at Willow View Cemetery.
