Jerry Bicknell

Jerry Bicknell went to be with his Heavenly Father on June 2, 2015. Jerry was born June 26, 1936 in Dayton Ohio to the late Ted and Anna Bicknell.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Minnie Bicknell; sons and daughter-in-law: Cary Bicknell and Brian and Cindy Bicknell; grandchildren: Brady, Morgan and Brooke Bicknell; brother and sister-in-law: Ralph and Judie Bicknell; sister and brother-in-law: Judy and John Chestnut; sister-in-law, Jeannie Bicknell; and all his CCU friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Jordan; brothers and sister-in-law: Gene and Mary Bicknell and Don Bicknell; and grandson, Brendan Bicknell.
He graduated from Dixie High School in 1954 and was a Veteran of The United States Army and Military Police. He was a member of the American Legion Post 165. Jerry retired from Delco Moraine in 1993 after 29 years of service. Jerry loved spending time with family, cruising with friends, going to family reunions and seeing his friends at the 25 year Delco Moraine Club. Jerry dearly loved his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday. Burial and military honors to follow at Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg. Contributions may be made in Jerry's name to The Hospice of Dayton.
