Jerry Baylor Ball, age 69 of Huber Heights, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2019. Jerry was born in Dayton, Ohio to David and Elsie Ball on July 4, 1949. He graduated from Dixie High School in 1967. He then went on to earn his degree from Dayton Bible College in 1971. He was a hard worker and went on to work for and retire from General Motors.
In his free time, Jerry enjoyed participating in pre-1840's reenactments at Caesar's Creek Pioneer Village. He loved to spend time outdoors and in nature. Jerry enjoyed listening to blue grass music and was a skilled gardener. He took great pride in his family and loved to spend time with them.
Jerry dedicated his life to the service of others. He worked as a youth pastor and interim pastor. Jerry sang in The Gospel Tones Quartet and was a member of Springboro Christian Church.
Jerry was a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, father, grandfather, great-father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, David and Elsie Ball.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife, Claudia Ball; children, Jeff (Lori) Ball and Angel (Ron) Fisher; step-children, Katie (Jeremy) Nelson and Logan (Michelle) Mackey; grandchildren, Erika, Sara, Tyler, Ella, Jason, Joey, Bryson, Asia, Audrie, Aravis, and David; great-grandchildren, Bella, Raelynn, and Anna; siblings, Shirley Allison, Linda Pelton, and James Ball; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A Celebration on Jerry's life will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 10:30am at Newcomer North Chapel. A visitation will be held for one hour prior (9:30am-10:30pm). Burial to follow at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, Ohio.
