ANKENEY, Jerry Kent
age 68 of Dayton passed away Sunday, March 12, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Jerry was born August 24, 1937, the son of Torrence and Agnes Ankeney. He was a great cook and painter. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Rose Ankeney; children, Iva Mae (Mike) Maggard, son, only known but to God, Cindy (David) McMurray, Penny Sue (Steve) Zimmerman, Laura (Jerry) Irvin, Tammy (Marco) Gonzalez, Brenda (Robert) Swift, Keith (Holly) Ankeney, Jason (Terrie) Ankeney; brothers and sisters, Claira (Mack) Blair, Dick (Ann) Ankeney, Barbara Cisneros, Robert (Sug) Ankeney, John (Karen) Ankeney, Ronnie Ankeney, and Debbie Ridner; 19 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Bud, Connie, Jeannie, Harriet, Steve, Elva, and Joseph. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
