Jerome "JD" Dewitt White was born July 14th, 1946 to the late Bernard and Ruby White in Whipple, West Virginia., Jerome was known by his friends as "JD." Jerome departed this life on Thursday, June 13th, 2019.
Jerome graduated from Dunbar High School in 1965. He attended Miami Jacobs College before being drafted into the US Army where he served his country fighting in the Vietnam War for 3 years. While serving his country, he also served his family back home by sending financial support to his mother to help aid his 5 sisters and brothers.
Jerome had a great love for softball where he coached and played for many years. He loved his friends at the VFW and spent lots of time there enjoying their company. He also shared many happy years with friends at Setters.
Jerome will be sadly and greatly missed by his family who loved him dearly, also all of his friends he leaves behind.
Jerome Dewitt White is preceded in death by his wife Johnny, Parents Bernard & Ruby White, and Brothers Richard, Ricardo and Bernard White.
Jerome leaves to mourn his departure and to cherish his memory 5 Children Clarence (Michelle) McGill Jr., Joy White, Johnny (John) Mercier, James (Krucita) Walker and Jerome (Toddy) White Jr, 1 Brother Antone (Carolyn) White (AZ), 2 Sisters, Pastor NuWanda Adams (AZ) and Apostle Shelia (Benjamin) Morrow (OH). 11 Grandchildren, and a very special life-long friend Geraldine McGhee.

Family will receive friends Friday, June 28, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Deliverance Temple International Church, 80 E. Nottingham Rd., Harrison Twp., Ohio. Burial to follow the services at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer North Chapel, Dayton, Ohio.
