Jerome P Freiberger Sr., age 87 of Vandalia, passed away September 27, 2016. Jerry was a graduate of Northridge High School, worked at the Inland division of GM until his retirement in 1981 and was a lifelong member of Queen of Martyrs Church in Northridge. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a life member of the NRA and North American Fishing Club. Jerry became a talented wood craftsman sharing his gifts with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Ellen Freiberger; two brothers George and Norman and two sisters Mary and Emily. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joan; four daughters Julie (Bruce) Wolf, Janiece Collins, Jane (Russ) Anderson and Judy (Brent) Nill; one son Jerome (Theresa) P. Freiberger Jr.; 14 grandchildren Amanda (Billy), Erin, Erica, Jason (Gianna), Jonelle (Rodney), Justin, Jared (Stephanie), Nicholas (Amanda), Stephen, Elizabeth, Joshua, Adam, James (Lindsay) and Michael (Manda); step-granddaughter, Hillary (Joey); 12 great-grandchildren and a sister, Thelma Herzog. A special thank you to Heather and Adriane for their loving care of Jerry. Mass will be held at Queen of Martyrs Church, 4134 Cedar Ridge Drive, Dayton, Ohio on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:30am with a visitation 1 hour prior to mass.
