Jennings Francis

FRANCIS, Jennings B.,"JB", age 76, of Kettering Ohio, departed this life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 8, 2014.

JB was born on August 8, 1938 in Smithsboro Kentucky. He served in the Air Force for 21 years and retired as a Master Sargent. He also worked 14 years in Civil Service. He loved serving his country, he loved his wife, Mable, with all his heart, but more than anything, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He worshipped the Lord in the Old Regular Baptist Church. He was considered an Ambassador for Christ by his family and friends.

JB was preceded in death by his father and mother, Burl and Gertrude (Collins) Francis and his brothers, Howett, Garrell, and Eddy Francis.

He leaves his loving wife, of 57 years, Mable (Back) Francis, to cherish his memory until she will join him in Heaven. He is also survived by his sisters, Mavis (Francis) Hammond and Robin (Francis) Colegrove and his brothers, Jimmy, Doug, and Roger Francis. He also leaves numerous other family members to include brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even some great-great nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where his funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm. His interment will be at Dayton National Cemetery. JB will be greatly missed by all his friends and family! In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Dayton.
