Jeneanne Mathilda "Jeannie" Schnabel (Schreiner) was born on February 4, 1944 to Clotilda and Lutz Schreiner in York, Pennsylvania and passed peacefully in her sleep on October 21, 2018 after a prolonged battle with her health.
Jeannie moved with her family to Lawrenceburg, Indiana as a young girl. She attended Oldenburg Academy and in 1962 became the Dearborn County Fair Queen.
After graduation she attended schooling to be an Executive Secretary at Miller Drawn and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she worked for R.L. Polk and met her soon to be husband.
On May 21, 1966, she married Roger Bruce Schnabel. Roger's work eventually took them to their new home in Dayton, Ohio.
Jeannie was passionate about her family, her pets, gardening, and music and will always be remembered fondly for her love of all these things.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lutz and Clotilda Schreiner and her sister, Clara Jon Daugherty. Jeannie is survived by her sister, Mellonie (Ron) Wright, and her brother Lutz "Bo" (Sue) Schreiner, as well as nieces and nephews, Teresa, Rhonda, Kim, Chris, Clay, and Jason.
She was a proud Mother to Michelle (Ken) MacCutcheon, Babette (Thomas) Spahr, Samantha (Johnny) Acampora, and Cassandra (Bryan) Pennington.
Jeannie was a proud Grandmother to Paige (Tim) Michael, Sophia Acampora, Lily and Benjamin Spahr, Miranda and Kora Pennington. Her family would like to thank so many for their love and well wishes during this time and she will always live on in all of our memories.
A Gathering will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at Newcomer South Chapel, Kettering, Ohio.
A Memorial Service will follow on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 5:00 pm.
