Age 49, of Huber Heights, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter & Ola Buchanan and Roy & Anna Stoecker.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Buchanan; his parents, Elmer & Dorothy Buchanan; children, Hannah Noel Buchanan, Chris & Lori Strange, Myia Strange, Alicia Fiorini, and Bethany Strange; nine grandchildren, Ashleigh, Jordan, Brooklyn, Austin, Christian, Mariah, Mikey, Vinnie, Alonna; one brother, Greg & Shelley Buchanan; and by his beloved Sheltie, Sassy.
Jeff was a member of The Vineyard of Beavercreek Church. During his time of service in the U. S. Navy he served on the John F. Kennedy Aircraft Carrier. He was a district manager for Beazer Homes and was a well known drummer having played with several local and national professional musicians.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Sliver officiating. Interment will follow at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Jeff to the Jeff Buchanan Memorial Fund at any Fifth/Third Bank branch to be of assistance to Mary and Hannah.
