Jeffrey Douglas Kimbrell, age 58 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018 doing what he loved best- hunting. He was born July 3, 1960 in Marietta, Ohio.
Jeff was a loving husband, devoted father and a doting grandfather. He was an avid hunter, loved fishing, camping, spending time at the lake and the outdoors. He umpired Girl's Fastpitch Softball in which he received the National Umpire Award. This past year, he encouraged his son, Travis, to join him as an umpire which created a summer full of memories. Jeff had a strong bond with his grandson, Gabriel, whom he cared for three days a week while mom and dad were at work.
He is preceded in death by his father, Don Kimbrell; step-father, Galen Ellison and grandmother, Beulah Pryor.
Jeff will be missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Pam; son, Travis (Amber) Kimbrell; mother, Nola Ellison; grandson, Gabriel; sisters, Robin Kimbrel Wiggs and Renee (Steve) Boyett; nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Datyon, Ohio. If you wish, contributions can be made to the family.
