Jeffrey Cason, a vibrant spirit whose laughter echoed through the hearts of many, was born on June 25, 1963, in Hagerstown, Maryland. He departed this life on November 25, 2024, in Dayton, Ohio, leaving behind a mosaic of cherished memories imprinted upon the lives he touched.
A proud member of the Centerville High School Class of 1981, Jeffrey’s journey through life is marked by a plethora of passions and a heart that overflowed with generosity. His musical inclinations shone brightly as he participated in the marching band during his high school years, a testament to his unwavering dedication and talent. Jeffrey’s mastery as a juggler—an art he embraced with the utmost finesse—symbolized his playful spirit and capacity to dazzle those around him. A drummer by nature, his rhythmic beats sparked joy and camaraderie among friends and family, while his love for martial arts and disc golf provided him with outlets to thrive physically and connect with nature’s beauty.
Following a committed tenure in the Army, Jeffrey enjoyed a fulfilling career as an employee of Winsupply of Dayton, where he was known for both his expertise and the warmth he extended to colleagues.
A man with a great sense of humor, Jeffrey lit up every room he entered, effortlessly turning mundane moments into joyous celebrations. His warmth was felt profoundly by his siblings: his brother, Rev. Dr. Kent (Sarah) Cason; his sisters, Donna Cason and Jeannie Keller; and his brother-ish, Saeed Soleimanpour. He also leaves behind beloved memories with his cherished cat, Needy.
As we come together to honor Jeffrey's incredible life, we invite all who knew him to join us for a visitation on December 9, 2024, from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home in Kettering, Ohio. This will be followed by a Celebration of Life from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM, celebrating the laughter, resilience, and love that Jeffrey so freely shared. Afterward, a solemn interment will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery.
Preceded in death by his cherished parents, Mary Anne Keller and Arthur Cason, Jeffrey’s spirit will continue to thrive in the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love that unites us all. His legacy is one of boundless generosity, a reminder to cherish the joy in every moment, and to always find time to laugh. He will be deeply missed yet forever etched in the hearts of those who had the honor of knowing him.
