Jeff T. Owens

OWENS, Jeff T., age 43, was called home to be with his heavenly Father on July 16, 2009. He was born Sept. 11, 1965 to Claude & Betty Owens of West Carrollton, OH. Loving husband to Shelly for 22 years. Loving daddy to Rebecca, Melinda, & Haley, all 3 were his pride & joy. Devoted brother to Tim (Sarah) Owens of Speedwell, TN, Sheila (Rick) Baker of West Carrollton, OH, and Kent (Lesley) Owens of Moraine, OH. Special son-in-law to Dave & Linda Strickland of Lucasville, OH and brother-in-law to Mike (Hope) Strickland of Vandalia, OH. Special uncle to his nieces & nephews, Vanessa, Luke, Rachel, Jesse, Blake, Justin, Abby, Chelsea, Jack, Joshua, Jacob, Nathan, & Vincent. He had many aunts, uncles, and cousins, too numerous to list. Special lifelong friends, Larry Smith, Lance Smith, Greg Stuckey, Keith Beardsley, Jamie Cunningham, Mike Shell, Mike Cheatwood, as well as many others. He was a very active member of Miami Shores Baptist Church where he taught the adult men's Sunday School class. He was also a member of the internet communities of Bass Boat Central, Fast Bass, and Scream & Fly. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Greenline Products for the past 12 years. Jeff loved hunting, fishing, reading his Bible, and spending time with his family. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Rd., Moraine, OH. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the church. Pastor Doug Surber officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to an educational fund for his children, c/o Miami Shores Baptist Church.
