Jeff Anthony Riley, age 54, of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his father Winford Riley, grandfathers Jeff Riley and James R. Bishop, grandmothers Bertha Mar Spicer and Hazel Combs, and his special aunt Brenda Spicer.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Veronique Bedard Riley; his step-children, Alexander Dell, Christopher Dell, Matthew Dell and Gabrielle Dell, along with his mother Shirley Riley; step-father, Dale Bishop, and siblings Greg (Michelle) Bowling, Wendy (Bill) Brown and Beth (Chad) Ennis.
Jeff graduated from Edgewood High School, Class of 1985 and went on to enlist in the US Navy in September 1987. Jeff served two tours during the Gulf War with his primary specialty as Yeoman and was honorably discharged in November 1994. During his time with the Navy he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Second Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Navy "E", Armed Forces Expetionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Jeff was employed with the Hamilton Castor and Manufacturing Co. for the past 15 years.
He had many interest including reading, writing, gardening, landscaping and being outdoors. He also had a passion for cooking, geography, genealogy and his family roots.
Jeff's favorite place to be was home. He was a loving and humble person who had a calm presence and quiet intelligence.
Jeff was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:30 am at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave., Dayton, OH 45409.
