Jeff S Farmer Sr
Sunrise 6/29/65 - Sunset 7/8/20
Jeff was employed as a maintenance supervisor by Related and was based at the Biltmore in Dayton. He was so talented and could fix anything, no matter if he had the appropriate tools or had to improvise. He was compassionate, empathetic and kind to all the residents at the Biltmore and treated them all as family.
On the personal side, Jeff was selfless, kind, compassionate, caring, funny and genuinely loved his family, including his three frenchies (Tucker, Honey and Bear) and all other animals. He would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar if you needed it. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, vacationing in Florida and going to the casino.
Jeff is survived by wife and soul mate of 32 years, Kelly (his Seahorse); son, Jeffrey; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda (Ryan) Meyerhoefer; granddaughter Rylan 3 (Grandpa's Princess Purpleberry); grandsons, Ryder 7 and Jackson 6; mom, Sue McKinley; step-father, Tim Simon; brother, Gerry (Jeannette) Farmer; sisters, Kelly (Jeff) Kangas and Ronna (Ralph) Morgan; step-brother, Tim (Mary) McKinley; as well as a whole host of nieces and nephews.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Farmer; step-father, Jack McKinley; grandparents, Buster and Tecla Dixon; mother-in-law, Carolyn Hickey; brother-in-law, Johnny Hickey; sister-in-law, Andrea Hickey; and his favorite aunt, Mildred Shade.
Unfortunately, Jeff suffered from chronic back pain and had multiple surgeries over the years to get some relief from the pain, but his most recent surgery, the most invasive and least effective, was unsuccessful and his quality of life was greatly diminished. Additionally, he was diagnosed with lung cancer last year, but the pandemic postponed his treatment.
Jeff made the unfortunate decision to end his own life to stop the pain. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to one of these three charities: SICSA, Suicide Prevention or the American Cancer Society.
