JEFF DUCKRO
On Wednesday, June 7, angels escorted Jeff, age 56, to his Heavenly home. He was met by his father, Michael Duckro, Jr., who had waited for him for 7 years…and his brother, Mike, who had waited 40 long years to be with him. What a reunion they must be having!
Jeff is survived by his son, Brandon Duckro; his mother, Carol Duckro; and his sister, Vickie McDonald.
Jeff was a graduate of Northmont High School. He worked for EDS as a Systems Engineering Manager for 17 years.
He was an avid golfer, a Dallas Cowboys superfan, a huge Civil War buff, and loved to read. He was great with his hands, and could build or repair just about anything.
Jeff was one of the kindest, most gentle people you will ever meet. If someone asked him to do something, he never turned them down.
He was like a huge firecracker…he burned so brightly, he lit up the sky! And then he was gone much too quickly. His spirit was so large, he has left such a void in our lives. We were supposed to have had many more years together. We are already looking down the road and seeing an empty place at the table for all the years to come. We miss him terribly. But we believe that Jeff is having the time of his life! He is truly and completely free of the burdens of this world.
Fly high, beautiful butterfly! May angels guide thee to thy rest, Sweet Prince.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Sunday, June 25, at 2:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH.
