Jeannie Stratton

Jeannie Stratton, age 83 of Northridge, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018. She was born June 7, 1935 in Midland City, Ohio to the late Walter and Reba Pauline "Polly" Long.

Along with her husband of 62 years, Jeannie was the previous owner of the Green Leaf Inn where she considered her customers as an extension of her family. Jeannie was very caring to everyone and everybody loved her. She had a zest in life for compassion, making everyone feel special and her love for nature. Jeannie will be dearly missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John; son, John Marvin "Bird Dog" Stratton; grandson, Andy Joe; sisters, Helen Kawasaki and Linda Adams and loving grandfather, Cecil Mosses.

Jeannie will be missed by her loving children, Sherry (John) Grimmett, Roy "T-Bone" (Jodi) Stratton, Scott (Robin) Stratton; grandchildren, Jammie, Elizabeth, John Davis, J.J., Brittney, Curtis, Ryan, Maggie, Matthew, Eli and Abby; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Lacie, Trevor, Alyson, Kyleigh, Collin, Lincoln, Benjamin, Hayden, Baylor and Brecken; sisters, Mary Long, Linda Gould and Tooker Payner and many cousins, friends and special friends Bill Gothard and Cheryl Hatton.

Family will receive friends Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio. A Celebration of Life at #746 Legion North Dixie immediately following the funeral on Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday beginning at 12:30 p.m. The procession will leave at 1:30 p.m. to Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N. Dixie, Dayton, OH where the graveside service will be 2 p.m at the mausoleum.
