Jeanne Marie McEnery, age 65 of Xenia passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017. She was born in Glen Cove, NY to the late Patrick and Marie Connolly. She graduated from Hicksville High School in 1969. Jeanne went on to meet her husband Paul and the two married in 1976. She was a devoted military wife and dedicated herself to her husband and daughters. For 20 years, she was a loyal employee of AAFES. Jeanne loved to travel and spend time with her family. She was a loving, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, GiGi, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick Connolly; her parents-in-law, John and Mary McEnery; sister-in-law, Martha Varney.
Jeanne leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 41 years, Paul D McEnery; daughters, Jennifer (James) Bowers, Kathryn (Lathan) Hoiles, and Stephanie (Lyle) James; grandchildren, Evan, Curtis, Lydia, Elizabeth, and Emma; siblings, Mary Adams, Rosemary (Kevin) Zabielski, Thomas (Anne) Connolly, William (Victoria) Connolly, John (Erin) Connolly; siblings-in-law, Michael (Corrine) McEnery, Theresa McEnery, Kathryn (Russ) Clark, and Mareta (Vincent) Gallagher; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Hospice of Dayton, especially, Dr. Cleanne Cass, Charlotte Slater, Jennifer Lyn Huff, and Jennifer Larochelle-Starbuck and Sharon Metcalf, for all their kindness, care, and compassion during this time.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel at 3pm. The family will greet friends and loved ones for one hour prior (2pm - 3pm).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 30, 2017 at 11:00am at Curé of Ars Roman Catholic Church in Merrick, NY. With burial to follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
