Jeanette F. Lewis

Jeanette F. "Fern" Lewis, age 88 of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2021. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Somerset, KY to James Wiley and Pearlie Daws. Jeanette married Gilbert Lewis on October 23, 1954.

Fern loved to cook and feed her children and grandchildren. She loved to sew for her family including making Barbie clothes for them. Fern served as a domestic engineer for Gilbert, excelling in all areas. She was active in church throughout her life, helping to clean the church and tending to the flower beds. Fern and Gilbert enjoyed fishing together in Kentucky. Fern loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Fern is survived by two daughters, Mary Lou (Boyd) Holtzman and Marsha (Tony) Oppy; five grandchildren; Bj Holtzman, Teresa (Justin) Holtzman-Monterosso; Joshua (Jessica) Oppy, Matthew (Katy) Oppy and Jesse Oppy; nine great grandchildren, Robert, Jacob, Emalee, Jordan, Jayce, Adalynn, Boyd, Vincent and Claire; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 56 years, Gilbert; one sister; and five brothers.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm. Burial will follow the service at Valley View Memorial Gardens.
