Jean R. Whitaker

Whitaker, Jean R., age 85, of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Jean was born December 1, 1922 in Piketon, Ohio to the late Owen & Martha Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Ralph Shiverdecker and James Whitaker. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Gaye (Mickey) Quinn of Kettering, Joye (Chris) Wilhite of Waynesville; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister: Mary (Ralph) Whitaker of Kettering; special friend: Bob Dingus; and several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 16, 2008 at Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel) 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering with Chaplain Timothy Mintkenbaugh officiating. Interment will follow the services at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens near New Carlisle. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
