Jean Laraine Brink passed away on January 9, 2023 after her third courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 4, 1944 to Donald and Anna Phillips in Jamestown, New York and was a proud Daughter of the American Revolution. She was married to her childhood sweetheart for 61 years and raised three loving children. They moved to Ohio in the 1970's following family and job prospects. This eventually led to her 25 year career at FTD, Wright Patterson Air Force Base before enjoying early retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas "Tom" Brink, daughter Laraine "Lori" Milligan, and siblings Anne Brink, Carol Johnson and Donald "Bill" Phillips.
Jean's surviving children include Brenda (John) Dean and Michael (Melissa) Brink. She was a loving Grandma to six grandchildren including Heather (JT) Bell, Michele (Anthony) Russell, "Little" Mark Milligan II, Victoria Brink, Joseph "Kokomo Joe" Brink and Jessica Brink. She was a "Nana" to one Great-Granddaughter, Evelyn "Cutie Pi" Bell.
Jean's passions included painting, bedazzling, traveling and gambling. She never turned down ice cream, but chocolate peanut butter was her favorite. She enjoyed many trips to Las Vegas and local casinos where more of than not she was a "winner winner, chicken dinner" at the slot machines.
Jean will be sorely missed as she was the matriarch of the family. She was the glue that bound everyone together.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd.) on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 4pm until 6 pm. Please consider a donation in Jean's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html)
