Black, Jean (Emma) nee Taylor, age 94, of Beavercreek, OH passed away September 11, 2018 at home.
Jean was a 1942 graduate of Stivers High School. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.
She was a devoted wife and mother who loved painting, music, sewing and golf.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 2013, sister Marjorie and her parents Lester and Ruth (Chapman) Taylor.
She is survived by her sons Tim (Mable) Black of Benton, TN and Ron (Rhonda) Black of Beavercreek, OH; grandchildren Kelley (Russ) Wright, Becky (John) Slaughenhaupt, Daniel (Erin) Black, Craig (Jenny) Black and Scott (Sara) Black; great grandchildren Maddie, Anna, Micah, Clay, Sam, Riley, Ella, Tyler, Ava and Emmi as well as many other family and friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5-7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel.
Jean will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery in Beavercreek, OH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean's honor to Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
