Jean Marie Aschenbrenner, age 40 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born August 5, 1978 in Daleville, Alabama the daughter of Thomas Ahr and Kim Wu.
Jean was a 1995 graduate of Daleville High School and received her associates degree from Clark State University. Jean was an avid runner; ran in many 5K's and was a member of the Huber Heights Running Club. She was a member of the Noble Circle cancer survivor's group.
Jean lit up the room with her sparkling personality. She was a friend to everybody and never really met a stranger. She was outgoing, generous, selfless, and so positive and optimistic. Jean had a very curious nature about her and a thirst for knowledge. She had a very kind heart and an amazing sense of humor. Jean's love for God was unwavering.
Jean was an avid sports fan and loved to attend events with her husband as well as movies, plays and concerts.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas M. Ahr.
Jean will be missed by her loving husband of almost 15 years, David; mother, Kim Wu; brother, Thomas Ahr, Jr.; sister, Kelley (Dusty) Vigstol; niece, Kaitlyn Ahr; nephews, Yancy and Yandel; father-in-law and step-mother-in-law, Brian and Becky Aschenbrenner; mother-in-law, Yvonne Kapela; and other family members including, Yvette Aschenbrenner, Krista Hammar, David Kingzman, Olivia Biss, Ben Murphy
Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 6 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
