Jay E. Wollenhaupt

Jay E. "Jay Bird" Wollenhaupt, age 60, of East Dayton, passed into his eternal life with Jesus on September 30, 2016. He was born to the late John and Laura Wollenhaupt on December 28, 1955. Jay leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Joy (Mike) Barr, Johniece (Bob) Roberts; brother Larry (Shirley) Drake; one aunt; many nieces, nephews; special friends Chris and Vanessa Mantz; his extended family at the Band Box and his beloved dog Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Joan; brother-in-law Charles; nephew Charlie and niece Jennifer. Jay was everyone's MacGyver. He would do anything for anybody and never met a stranger. Jay was loved by all that knew him. A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5pm-7pm with a funeral service to follow on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Dayton Memorial Park.
