Javier "Jay" Escalon, age 67, of Xenia, passed away on February 12, 2023, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Rio Bravo, Mexico, on July 6, 1955, the son of the late Aurelio Escalon and Santos Cadena.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Raul Escalon and Roman Escalon.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Maria Escalon; children, Judith Ofir (Ben) Escalon Foster, Javier (Yaritza) Escalon, Jr., Jasmin Joanna (Marvin) Escalon Echegoyen, Jose Aurelio (Marisol) Escalon, Natalia Ailed Escalon, John Joseph Escalon and Raquel (Javier) Rivera; grandchildren, Sylus Lee, Darius Michael, Nicholas Johab and Justice Galilea Foster, Ashley Beatriz Escalon, Jo-Anna Elizabeth Echegoyen, Allison Abigail and Emily Sophia Escalon, Petra Maday, Javier, Jr., Zenaida Marie and Annaliza Faith Sandoval; siblings, Alicia (Bidal) Hernandez, Ezekiel (Maria) Escalon and Manuel (Paula) Escalon; special family, Miranda Rivera Peterson, Heriberto & Dolores Rivera, Sarai & Julio Cadena, Zenaida Rivera, Ciro & Teresa Rivera and Ubaldina Delgado; and special friend and boss, the Meyer Family.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to those who came to visit and spend time with Javier during his illness, especially the Pastors who traveled from Kentucky (Pastor Gamaliel Castillo and his wife, Yasmari). Also, the family would like to thank Genara de la Cruz Guerra for her continued prayers and support for the family.
Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm, on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Iglesia Casa De Dios Puerta del Cielo, 611 South Main Street, Middletown Ohio, 45044.
