Jason Robert Fisher, age 56, of Springfield, Ohio passed away on February 24, 2023. He was born on March 14, 1966 in Fairborn, Ohio. Son of Bob Fisher and his mother Carolyn Slater, who preceded him in death. Those left to cherish in his memory are his wife Brittany (Arehart) and his 6 children Anna, Claire, Jesse, Bryson, Rigel, and Zavi. His father, Bob Fisher, stepmother Judy Jacobs, brother Matthew and his wife Kathy Fisher and brother Forest Blade.
Jason was employed with Credence and AFIT (Air Force Institute of Technology), after he proudly served his country for 20 years as a B52 navigator for the United States Air Force. Jason was a lover of life. He followed musicians from early days of their career, attending as many concerts as he could. Every weekend he rooted for the Bengals whether he watched it or listened on 700 WLW, and if he decided to play a sport, he was immediately a natural at it. Jason loved his kids above all else and would do anything in the world to see a smile on their faces.
Jason fought through so much, but he always made everyone around him feel his love and passion. Jason's sole goal was to achieve peace. Not a day went by, even on his hard days, that he wasn't offering people around him love, kindness, forgiveness, generosity, and hope. He was the smartest man we've ever known and was always striving to do better and be better. While he is gone, his love and light is still felt. We will forever make sure that his story is known and this goodness is never forgotten. Our family will continue to share the importance surrounding mental health, and hope others will join in spreading this awareness.
Jason's Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 2-4 at Newcomer Funeral home in Beavercreek, Ohio. A prayer service will be held from 4-5. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in a foundation for his three young children at Chase Bank or Mass Gen Depression Clinical & Research Program to advance research in an area near to Jason and our hearts.
