Jasmine Marya Hill slipped quietly from our lives on June 10, 2014 at the age of 39. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Chester and Frances (Fornefeld) Cunningham of Clifton, Ohio, who taught her the love of camping and volksmarching at an early age.
Jasmine leaves behind her parents, Jill (Cunningham) Studevant of Clifton, Ohio and Harry Studevant of Beavercreek, Ohio; her children, Dean and Mya Hill of Dayton, Ohio; her uncles, James Cunnngham of California, Eugene Cunningham of Washington; her "Monkey Dave" David Cunningham of Texas, Thomas Cunningham of Texas, and her aunt, Sharon Stover of Florida; ex-husband, Shannon (Kim) Hill of Beavercreek, Ohio, numerous cousins, and all her "brothers and sisters" of the heart.
She was born May 25, 1975 in Springfield, Ohio and graduated from Fairborn High School in 1994, and received her certificate for Heavy Equipment Operator in 2001.
Jasmine worked for Montgomery County at the transfer station, where she showed the men that a woman could hold her own with everyone there.
Jasmine truly loved life and her children. She was the organizer, planner, and motivator where ever she went. The Winery Girls will be forever lost, driving back roads and arriving late for the tasting. The Cheer girls will be ribbon less and without snacks, and the Campers without their sausage and biscuits for Sunday breakfast without her there.
It is up to us now, left to carry on without her smile that was a bright light in all of our lives. We must pick up the pieces of our lives and show the world what we learned from her example. To be strong in our beliefs of how to live and to draw the line at what is wrong in this world.
We would truly like to thank all the staff at Miami Valley Hospital, who gave comfort and encouragement at every step of the way. Especially Dr. Moncrief and all the doctors and nurses in the ICU who patiently explained to the children all the medical procedures --- You're the best!!!
A gathering of family and friends will be held to celebrate her life, the way she lived it, with joy and love on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, we request a single Yellow Rose or contributions to help defray medical costs would be appreciated.
