Loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Jasmine Cherae Figgins passed away at the age of 30, suddenly in her home on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.
Jasmine was born March 3, 1991 in Fairborn, Ohio to Pilita Galdeen and Booker Figgins, Jr. From an early age, it was clear that Jasmine was a fighter and full of life. She had a mind of her own and had no problem making sure you knew it. Jasmine was faced with numerous obstacles to have a chance to live the life she wanted. She fought hard to conquer them. Jasmine was always full of joy and laughter, even in the face of adversity.
Her determination led her to graduating from Wayne High School. She then pursued and received her MA and LPN certifications. In addition to being employed as an LPN at Friendship Village, Jasmine was also attending OIAH in pursuit of her Registered Nursing degree.
Jasmine was a loyal sister and friend. When she had your back, "she had your back". She was there for all the good times like hanging out at bingo, the casino, and the countless girl's nights, and Starbuck runs. She was also there when things were rough to be the shoulder to cry on and lift you up.
Jasmine was a devoted mother to Jazlynn (6) and Jayce (11 mo.). She took pride in being a mother. Everything she did was to create a better life for them.
Jasmine was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas & Helen Galdeen; Booker Figgins Sr. She is survived by her daughter and son, Jazlynn & Jayce Figgins; mother, Pilita Galdeen (Maurice); father, Booker Figgins Jr. (Amy); grandparents, Rosetta (Oma) Figgins, Howard & Rainell Monk; Great Grandmother, Rosalee Figgins; sisters, Desiree Figgins, Asia Figgins, Paige Calhoun, & Montanae Davis; nephews, Brayden Wehner & Jaxon Contant, and niece, A'Mylah Dickerson.
