Janis Caryl Lowery, age 80, of Dayton OH passed away at Hospice of Dayton after a courageous battle. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 19, 1939 to the late Everett David "Boyd" and Mable Delores Bryant Lowery. She is a proud graduate of Jefferson Twp class of 1958. "Blessed and Highly Favored" was her favorite saying and she truly was. Janis was a devout catholic, prior member of St. James Catholic Church and current member of St. Benedict the Moor. She was a 4th Degree member of Ladies of Grace, Gracious Lady Evelyn Chargois, Chapter 46 and Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary St. Simon of Cyrene Court #353, 3rd Degree.
Janis loved her family and was a mother of five sons and several bonus sons. Her home was home to many more and she loved them all dearly. I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave echo whispering softly down the ways. Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
