Janice Marie Carpenter

Janice "Jan" Marie Carpenter, age 55 of Springfield, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born August 27, 1962 in Xenia, Ohio, the daughter of the late David and Sue McFarland.

Jan is remembered by her brothers as funny, sweet and loving and by her sons as non-judgmental, open-minded and always there for advice or to lend an ear.

Jan is survived by her sons, Cameron (Megan) McFarland, Tyler (Elaina) McFarland, Caleb Clinton, Dustin Clinton; brothers, David (Lorne) McFarland Jr., Ron (Melissa) McFarland; grandchildren, Emma McFarland, Akira McFarland, Ava Hutchins, Veda McFarland, Sylas Flannery; best friend, Kim Cunningham; She is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 10 am to 11 am at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424). Funeral service will begin at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the family to assist with Jan's final expenses.
