Janet Louise Wentworth (Née Dunn), age 69, of Beavercreek, OH passed away Sunday, April 16th, at Soin Medical Center after a well fought battle with cancer. She gave cancer hell.
She was born November 30th, 1953 in Montgomery, Alabama, but was raised in New England.
Janet moved to the Dayton area in the mid-nineties for work on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and spent her time there informing people that they were making bad decisions. She made quick friends with her involvement in the Kittyhawk Ski Club, Dayton Hash House Harriers, Scottish Dancing, Tennis, and participating in community theatre.
Her special place was on the shore of Unity Pond Maine, she simply called it 'Camp'. It is where her family has been summering for generations and she planned things so that her descendants will be summering there for generations to come.
Janet is survived by her son and daughter, Andrew Wentworth and Louise Fite; grandchildren, Evelyn Wentworth, Mason Wentworth, Kaylee Fite, and Aiden Fite.
She was a feisty woman who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at Janet's home on June 3rd, 2023.
Another Celebration of Life will be held at Janet's camp in Maine on July 1st, 2023.
