Janet L. Rogers, Age 95, formerly of Trotwood, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on June 14, 2018. Born December 5, 1922 to Carl Brown and Nora (Garrison) Brown. She joins the family members that passed before her; father, Carl Brown; mother, Nora (Garrison) Adams; step-father, Ralph Adams; father of her children, Stuart Hardendorf; brother-in-law, Harry Wright; sister, Kathryn (Adams) Bailey; her beloved daughter, Sandra K. Bailey and the love of her life, husband of 47 years, Warren L. Rogers.
Janet is survived by son, Kurt F. Hardendorf; son-in-law, Gary D. Bailey; sister, Virginia (Adams) Wright; brother-in-law, Charles Bailey; grandchildren, Robert (Tonya) Bailey and Carey Ann (Clay) Coffman; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Cassandra and Grace Coffman; Ashlyn, Colleen and Keira Bailey. She also left sisters-in-law, Mary Smith, Joyce Rogers, Delores Lawson, Iris Scott, Teresa Thomas; brothers-in-law, James Rogers, John Rogers, Christopher Rogers and Gregory Rogers to mourn her loss. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and cousin to many from her Garrison side of the family that she loved and missed seeing in her later years.
Janet was a very proud 1941 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Dayton, Ohio and was able to celebrate many class reunions down through the years. She was employed at Richman Brothers clothing store, working many years at the downtown Dayton location before retiring while working at the Salem Mall store in in Trotwood.
I would like to acknowledge the young ladies at Brookdale Englewood for all the love shown to Janet during her time residing there, too many to mention, but you know who you are. Thank you for making her days a little brighter.
Services for Janet will be held at Grace United Methodist Church Dayton, Ohio of which she was a member, on June 18, 2018 with visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton at the convenience of the family. With her love of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sisca of Dayton.
