Janet Elaine Pohl, age 67, of Bellbrook, a loving wife, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 24, 1954 in Dayton, Ohio to Robert and Shirley (Lowe) Beeghly. Janet was a graduate of Kiser High School, Class of 1973. After her long career in banking she went on to work with Bethany Lutheran Village and the Bellbrook School System.
Janet was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Darner, father Talmadge E. Lowe, sister Diana K. Cockerham, and her brothers Bobby Beeghly and Tim Beeghly.
She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Pohl; mother Shirley Lowe; daughter Michele Darner; grandchildren, Kristopher Hammergren, Destiny Rodriguez, Kloe Rodriguez, Haley Rodriguez, Ava Rodriguez; great-grandchildren Aramaya, Brandon, and one on the way. Janet is also survived by her brother-in-law Melvin L. "Buddy" Cockerham; her niece Jessica (Doug) Riddle; nephew Tim (Kristen) Beeghly and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Janet loved "Mother Nature" and spending time out doors. She loved animals of all types and enjoyed feeding the birds. Janet also enjoyed flowers, gardening and spending time at the beach. Most of all Janet loved her family and spending as much time as she could with them. She tirelessly and lovingly put others before herself.
Janet will always be remembered for her courageous smile, kind heart and her love of the simple things in life. She leaves a legacy of love for her family and friends, her good deeds and willingness to help others.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm all at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45459. Following mass Janet will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
