BELL, Janet P.

age 84, of Centerville, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006 at Oak Creek Terrace Nursing Home. Janet was born June 16, 1922, in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Arthur and Madeline Zimmerman. She was a member of Hithergreen and Lathrem Senior Centers and was the founder of the Ukulelians. Janet was an artist and was a Kettering Volunteer. She is survived by her children, Linda (James) Gorman, Peter (Sheila) Bell, and John (Diana) Bell; grandchildren, Julie Gorman, Tim (Trisha) Gorman, Matt (Lori) Gorman, Scott (Nannette) Bell, Kristina Bell, Dan (Holly) Bell, and Jeff Bell; great grandson, Aaron Bell. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John L. Bell. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. A private burial service will be held in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Janet's memory to the American Cancer Society, Breast Cancer Fund.
