Janet Ann Mowen

Janet Ann Mowen, age 71, of Union, passed away on January 11, 2023. She was born on June 17, 1951 to the late Archie and Frances Whaley. She retired from Norwood after many years of service, and she enjoyed her weekly breakfasts with her friends at McDonalds. Her presence will truly be missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 36 years, Donald Mowen Sr.; her sisters, Joan Donaldson and Joy Bandy; her brother, John Whaley; and she was joined in her passing with her fiancé, John Parrish.

She will be remembered by her children: Donald Mowen Jr., Rebecca Mowen, Clifton Donaldson, Casey (Jennifer) Mowen; grandchildren: Jessica (Sam) Miller, Dusten Mowen, Sydney (D'Aundre) Turner, Samantha Ritchie, Zachary (Allision) Maples, Dennis Hawkinberry II, Tori Howard, Kyle Donaldson, Cole Notestine, Dylan Notestine, Brison Mowen, and Calvin Mowen; great-grandchildren: Loralei Miller, Vincent Miller, and Kahari Turner; and multiple nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm.
