Janet M. Sims, age 60 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February1, 2014. She was born August 8, 1953 in Dayton, to her late father, Howard Smith and her mother, Christine Levingston, and she survives. Janet was preceded in death by her father and half-brother, Andrew Smith of Columbus, OH.
She is survived by her mother; sons, Doniell Snow and Clifford James; she leaves to cherish her memory, her two granddaughters, DeAmber Snow and Camrie James; sister, Shirley Richardson; half-brother, Vernon and half-sister, Marsha, both of Columbus, OH and one nephew, Javen Richardson; two of her closest cousins, Tommy Sims and Vicky Henderson; special childhood friends, Paulette Brown and Celestine Taylor
Janet attended Roosevelt High School and worked fourteen years with D.E.S.C. for the Department of Defense. She also worked with MRDD (Kuntz Rd.) for many years.
Family will hold a memorial service at a later date and time. Arrangements are in care of Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel.
