WOOD, Janet K.
Age 75, went to be with her beloved Lord and Savior on September 10, 2014 in Virginia with her family by her side.
She was born February 1, 1939 in Wellston, OH to the late, Theodore O. and G. Catherine West. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ben Wood and sister, Phyllis Smith.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Dennis) Taulbee and David (Gina) Wood; five grandchildren, Kristen (Nick) Carico, Jeremy (Betsy) Taulbee, Joshua Taulbee, Tyler Wood, and Turner Wood; great-grandsons, David Taulbee and Gabriel Carico; siblings, Betty Hatton and Ted (Sandy) West; and numerous other dear family and friends.
Janet retired from the US Postal Service after many years of service and was a very active member of her church. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 9:30 am until the time of service at 10:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton. Interment to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Janet's memory.
