Janet E. Heffner
Age 62, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born July 17, 1944, a life-long resident of Dayton, Ohio.
She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School in 1962. While in High School she worked at Flohre's restaurant. In 1976 she became Manager of the kitchen at the Shamrock Club on Linden Ave., Dayton, Ohio, where she worked until 1993 when she retired due to health.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and LaVeda (Sweney) Heffner; and by her sister, Christina and her twin sister, Jeanne Sargent.
Janet is survived by her brother, Allen (Ginger) Sweney of Louisiana; sister, Kathleen Long of Virginia; eight nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; and by her long-time friend, Bessie Bader.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Springboro Cemetery, Springboro, Ohio.
